Last Updated: 18 October 2026

Welcome to MotorVandy.com (“MotorVandy”, “we”, “our” or “us”). MotorVandy is an online platform intended to help users discover, browse and advertise classic, vintage, collectible and other vehicles.

By accessing or using MotorVandy.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue using the website.

1. Nature of Our Platform

MotorVandy.com operates as an advertising and vehicle-listing platform that connects prospective buyers with vehicle owners, dealers, collectors and other advertisers.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, MotorVandy does not own, possess, sell or act as the legal seller of the vehicles advertised on this website.

The vehicles listed on MotorVandy.com are offered by independent third-party advertisers. Any purchase, sale, negotiation or agreement concerning a listed vehicle is entered into directly between the buyer and the relevant seller.

MotorVandy is not a party to, and does not guarantee the performance of, any transaction between a buyer and a seller.

2. Listing Review and Verification

MotorVandy endeavours to review, screen and filter vehicle advertisements before publication and may conduct additional reviews or checks where considered appropriate.

However, our review process is intended to improve the quality of listings and does not constitute a comprehensive verification, inspection, appraisal, certification or authentication of any vehicle.

Unless expressly confirmed in writing by MotorVandy, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or authenticity of any information provided by an advertiser, including:

  • Vehicle make, model, variant, year of manufacture and date of first registration.
  • Mileage, engine capacity, specifications and vehicle condition.
  • Vehicle ownership, registration status, title, import history and supporting documentation.
  • Restoration history, originality, matching numbers, authenticity of parts or collector status.
  • Accident history, flood damage, structural damage, rust, mechanical condition or undisclosed defects.
  • Asking price, availability, outstanding financing, encumbrances or the seller’s authority to sell.

The publication of a listing does not mean that MotorVandy endorses the vehicle, approves its condition, verifies the seller’s identity or guarantees that the vehicle is legally available for sale.

Although we make reasonable efforts to identify inaccurate, misleading, suspicious or inappropriate advertisements, we cannot guarantee that every issue will be detected before publication. We reserve the right to reject, amend, suspend or remove listings at our discretion, subject to applicable law.

3. Buyer Due Diligence and Physical Inspection

Buyers are solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before making any payment, deposit, offer or purchase commitment.

MotorVandy strongly recommends that prospective buyers view and inspect the vehicle in person before proceeding with any transaction.

Buyers should, where appropriate:

  1. Arrange an independent inspection by a qualified mechanic, classic-car specialist or other suitably experienced professional.
  2. Verify the vehicle identification number (VIN), chassis number, engine number, registration documents and ownership records.
  3. Confirm the actual year of manufacture separately from the year of first registration, particularly for imported and classic vehicles.
  4. Check the vehicle’s legal ownership, outstanding loans, liens, restrictions, import documentation and eligibility for registration or transfer in the relevant jurisdiction.
  5. Examine the vehicle for rust, accident damage, previous repairs, mechanical issues, missing parts and inconsistencies with the advertisement.
  6. Confirm the final purchase price, payment arrangements, deposit conditions, delivery arrangements and all other contractual terms directly with the seller.
  7. Independently authenticate any certificates, valuations, restoration records, service records or other documents supplied by the seller.

Photographs, videos, descriptions, certificates and other materials displayed on the website should not be treated as substitutes for independent verification or physical inspection.

If a buyer chooses to proceed without viewing the vehicle or obtaining an appropriate inspection, that decision is made at the buyer’s own risk.

4. Seller Responsibilities

All advertisers are responsible for ensuring that their advertisements are truthful, accurate, current and not misleading.

Sellers must have the legal right and authority to advertise and sell the vehicles they list and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Sellers are responsible for disclosing material information about the vehicle, including known defects, significant accident history, material modifications and any relevant ownership or registration issues.

Sellers must not upload fraudulent advertisements, misrepresent vehicle details, use unauthorised photographs, impersonate another person or advertise a vehicle that they are not authorised to offer for sale.

MotorVandy does not assume responsibility for a seller’s failure to disclose information or comply with these obligations. We may remove listings or restrict accounts where we reasonably suspect misconduct, fraud or a breach of these Terms.

5. No Guarantee of Vehicle Condition or Transaction

All vehicle information is provided for general advertising and informational purposes.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MotorVandy makes no representation or warranty that a listed vehicle:

  • Is in roadworthy, mechanically sound or satisfactory condition.
  • Is free from defects, damage, liens, ownership disputes or other undisclosed issues.
  • Is accurately described or represented in photographs.
  • Meets a buyer’s intended purpose, expectations or valuation.
  • Will remain available at the advertised price or be available when a buyer makes an enquiry.

MotorVandy does not guarantee that a buyer or seller will complete a transaction, fulfil an agreement, deliver a vehicle, refund a deposit or perform any other obligation.

Any vehicle purchase agreement, deposit arrangement, warranty, representation or after-sales commitment should be confirmed directly between the buyer and seller in writing.

6. Payments, Deposits and Fraud Prevention

Unless expressly stated otherwise in a separate written agreement, MotorVandy does not collect purchase payments, hold deposits in escrow, process vehicle ownership transfers or guarantee payments made between buyers and sellers.

Buyers should independently verify the identity and authority of the recipient before transferring money.

We strongly advise against sending deposits or full payments before verifying the seller, inspecting the vehicle where practicable and confirming the relevant documentation and transaction terms.

MotorVandy shall not be responsible, to the extent permitted by law, for losses arising from fraudulent sellers, false payment instructions, unauthorised payment recipients, disputed deposits or payment arrangements made directly between users.

Users should promptly notify MotorVandy if they encounter suspected scams, suspicious advertisements or requests for unusual payment arrangements. We may investigate reports and take appropriate action, but we cannot guarantee recovery of funds or resolution of disputes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MotorVandy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from the use of the website or dealings between buyers and sellers.

This includes losses arising from inaccurate third-party advertisements, undisclosed vehicle defects, failed transactions, misrepresentation by advertisers, deposits, payment disputes, ownership disputes or a buyer’s failure to conduct appropriate due diligence.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, consumer protection, remedy or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms relieves MotorVandy of any legal obligation that applies to it as the operator of the website.

8. Third-Party Content and External Links

The website may contain third-party advertisements, photographs, descriptions, links and other materials supplied by advertisers or external parties.

MotorVandy does not necessarily control or endorse such content or external websites. Users should independently assess the reliability of third-party information and review the terms and policies of external websites before engaging with them.

9. Reporting Inaccurate or Suspicious Listings

MotorVandy welcomes reports concerning potentially fraudulent, misleading, inaccurate or unauthorised advertisements.

If you believe a listing contains false information or involves suspicious activity, please contact us through the contact details provided on MotorVandy.com and include the listing URL and any relevant supporting information.

We may review the report, request further information, contact the advertiser, suspend the listing or take other appropriate action. However, we do not guarantee that every reported issue can be independently verified or resolved.

10. Website Use and Intellectual Property

Users must not use MotorVandy.com for unlawful activities, fraudulent purposes, unauthorised data collection or any activity that interferes with the operation or security of the website.

Unless otherwise stated, website content, branding, logos, design and original materials belonging to MotorVandy are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Third-party photographs, trademarks and other materials remain the property of their respective owners. Users and advertisers must ensure they have the necessary rights or permissions to upload or use such materials.

11. Privacy

Personal information submitted through MotorVandy.com may be collected and processed for purposes such as responding to enquiries, administering listings, preventing fraud, maintaining website security and complying with applicable legal obligations.

Our handling of personal information is subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable Malaysian data protection laws.

Users should avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive personal or financial information with other users.

12. Changes to These Terms

MotorVandy reserves the right to update these Terms of Use from time to time. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Your continued use of the website after updated terms are published constitutes acceptance of the revised terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
