Privacy & PDPA Notice

This notice explains how MotorVandy, operated by DAYTONA HERITAGE SDN. BHD. (Registration No. 202601036195 (1698290-U)), collects, uses, stores and discloses personal data in accordance with Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA). It applies to visitors, registered members, sellers and buyers using the MotorVandy platform.

Account details: your name, email address and password. Dealer accounts also give their company name as registered with SSM. Your password is stored only in encrypted (hashed) form — we cannot see it.

Listing details: when you list a vehicle, your name and phone number; the vehicle's details (make, model, variant, year, engine size, mileage, transmission, fuel, colour, asking price, description, known issues and, if you choose to give it, your reason for selling); its location (postcode, town and state); its last Puspakom inspection date and report number; and 6 to 30 photos.

Reports: if you report a listing, the reason and details you give us, and your email address if you are signed in.

We do not ask for your IC or passport, and we do not collect vehicle registration card (Geran) images. We collect only what we need to run the marketplace, prevent scams and connect buyers with sellers.

To create your account and confirm your email address; to publish your listing and let buyers contact you; to review every new listing and every edit before buyers see it, and to screen for fraud, duplicate photos and misuse; to look into listings that are reported; to email you about your account and listings (for example, when a listing is approved or rejected); to understand, in aggregate, which pages and listings visitors find useful so we can improve the site and show popular searches; and, if you ask for them, to provide the Export Desk and JPJ/Puspakom transfer assistance services.

Public: your listing — the vehicle's details and photos, the asking price, the town and state, and the seller name — can be seen by anyone visiting MotorVandy.

Your phone number is not public. It is shown only to signed-in members who choose to reveal it. When a buyer taps “Message seller”, the number is used to open WhatsApp or their phone's dialler, so messages go through WhatsApp or the phone network, not through MotorVandy.

Our service providers may store and process data on servers outside Malaysia. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to make sure your data stays protected to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

We use cookies and your browser's storage to keep you signed in, to remember the cars you are comparing, and to hold the random ID used for anonymous statistics. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking scripts — the banner ads on MotorVandy are our own and are counted anonymously.

You may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, withdraw consent for processing (which may limit your ability to use your account or list a vehicle), and request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements. MotorVandy is not directed at individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

We may update this notice as the platform evolves. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with an updated effective date.
